The military intelligence branch of the United States Navy. Established in 1882, it is the oldest continuously operating US intelligence agency. ONI has historically been involved in investigating maritime and airspace anomalies, including early reports of unidentified phenomena by naval personnel.
Investigated numerous UAP encounters by naval aviators and ships, including the modern Nimitz and Roosevelt carrier strike group incidents.
