The Boeing B-29 Superfortress was a four-engine propeller-driven heavy bomber flown primarily by the United States during World War II and the Korean War. It is most famous for dropping the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. During the late 1940s and early 1950s, B-29 crews were involved in several high-profile UAP sightings, including radar-visual encounters of 'foo fighters' and fast-moving unidentified targets.
B-29 crews reported some of the earliest and most credible military UAP encounters, including radar-visual trackings during the late 1940s and early 1950s.
