Defense Intelligence Agency

The Defense Intelligence Agency is an intelligence agency of the US federal government specializing in defense and military intelligence. The DIA has been deeply involved in modern UAP investigations, most notably funding and managing the Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program (AAWSAP) and the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). These programs studied the physics, technology, and threat potential of unidentified aerospace anomalies.
