Dwight D. Eisenhower

Dwight D. Eisenhower was the 34th President of the United States (1953-1961). His administration oversaw major Cold War aerospace developments and the establishment of early US space efforts, including the creation of NASA in 1958. The CIA-convened Robertson Panel on UFOs actually met January 14-18, 1953, during the closing days of the Truman administration, just before Eisenhower took office.

Central to numerous UFO conspiracy theories, most notably the unproven legend that he secretly met with extraterrestrials at a US Air Force base in 1954.
