Iranian Air Defense

The air defense branch of the Iranian military, historically part of the Imperial Iranian Air Force (IIAF). In 1976, Iranian Air Defense radar and personnel were central to the Tehran UFO incident, where interceptor jets experienced severe electronic failures while attempting to engage a highly maneuverable, brightly lit object over the capital.
