Aircraft / Project / Craft· 2 declassified document(s)
Also: B-26
The B-26 designation refers either to the Martin B-26 Marauder, a World War II twin-engine medium bomber, or the Douglas A-26 Invader, which was redesignated as the B-26 from 1948 to 1965. These aircraft were heavily utilized by the U.S. military for bombing, reconnaissance, and transport during the early Cold War era. In the context of early UFO investigations, B-26 crews occasionally reported anomalous aerial phenomena while on patrol or transport missions.
B-26 aircraft and their crews frequently appear in Project Blue Book files as either witnesses to UAPs or as conventional aircraft misidentified by civilians as UFOs.
