Wright Field

The historical name for the installation that became Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. It was the headquarters for the Air Materiel Command and the birthplace of the USAF's official UFO investigation programs: Project Sign, Project Grudge, and Project Blue Book. In UFO lore, Wright Field is famously rumored to be the destination where debris and bodies from the 1947 Roswell crash were transported for analysis.
