Air Defense Command

A major command of the US Air Force responsible for the air defense of the contiguous United States. ADC radar stations and interceptor fighter squadrons were the primary military assets scrambled to intercept unknown radar tracks (bogies) and visually identify UFOs. They played a central role in famous events like the 1952 Washington D.C. UFO incident.
