A former intelligence division of the USAF based at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. ATIC was responsible for analyzing foreign aerospace technology and served as the parent organization for the military's official UFO investigation programs, including Project Blue Book. Its analysts evaluated UFO reports to determine if they represented advanced Soviet technology or other national security threats.
