A division of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) responsible for analyzing foreign scientific and technological developments. In 1952, OSI took a strong interest in UFOs, fearing they could be used for psychological warfare or mask a Soviet attack, which directly led to the convening of the Robertson Panel.
