The United States Department of Defense is the executive branch department responsible for coordinating and supervising all agencies and functions of the government directly related to national security and the military. The DoD oversees all military branches and defense intelligence agencies involved in UAP tracking, reporting, and analysis. In recent years, the DoD has formally acknowledged the existence of UAP and established dedicated task forces to address the phenomena.
The overarching military authority that manages classified defense programs, sensor networks, and official task forces related to UAP.
