Chicago is most famous in modern UAP history for the 2006 O'Hare International Airport UFO incident, where numerous United Airlines employees and pilots witnessed a metallic, disc-shaped object hovering over Gate C17 before it shot upward, punching a hole in the cloud cover. The FAA officially dismissed it as a weather phenomenon.
