Distributed Ground System-1
Also: DGS-1
DGS-1, at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia, is the original/lead site of the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (AN/GSQ-272 SENTINEL), the USAF's primary intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) analysis weapon system; it achieved initial operational capability in 1994. DGS-1 processes, exploits, and disseminates sensor and imagery data from platforms such as the U-2, RQ-4 Global Hawk, and MQ-9 Reaper. Because it handles large volumes of raw sensor and full-motion-video data, facilities like DGS-1 are nodes where anomalous aerial objects captured by ISR platforms could be reviewed and analyzed.
A major intelligence processing center that analyzes raw military sensor and drone data, potentially capturing and evaluating UAP imagery.
