The National Aeronautics and Space Administration is the independent US government agency responsible for the civil space program, aeronautics research, and space research. While historically distancing itself from UFOlogy, NASA astronauts and cameras have occasionally recorded unexplained phenomena in orbit. Recently, NASA commissioned an independent study team to evaluate how its unclassified scientific data and sensors can be used to better understand UAP.

Conducts scientific research on UAP using unclassified space and atmospheric data, and historically fields reports of anomalies in orbit.
