The North American B-25 Mitchell was a twin-engine medium bomber introduced in 1941 and named in honor of Major General William 'Billy' Mitchell. After World War II, many B-25s were repurposed for training, reconnaissance, and transport duties. In the context of UFO history, B-25s were sometimes used by military intelligence officers traveling to investigate UFO incidents, and their crews occasionally reported sightings of their own.
B-25s were used in early post-war military transport and investigation flights, occasionally intersecting with UFO sighting reports.
