The investigative and oversight arm of the United States Air Force. The Inspector General occasionally reviewed the procedures of Project Blue Book and investigated internal military reports of unauthorized aerial incursions. They were responsible for ensuring that UFO reporting protocols, such as AFR 200-2, were properly followed by base commanders.
